Four employees with a cokmbined total of 150 years service were rewarded with a special presentation by Blackburn brewers Thwaites in 1988. Ernest halliwell and Frank Stones (fron centre) had both notched up 50 years with the company. Mr Halliwell was senior cleark of works and Mr Stones was responsible for selecting new tenants.
