Description
This photo has a special significance for Bury as it is believed to be one of the oldest photos ever taken in the town. It is from 1852 and shows the horse bus service which ran between Bury and Whitefield. YOu can barely make out a strret sign on one of the buildings in the row which looks as though it says 'Whitham'. Can anyone identify where this row of shops and houses was? Email bygones@nqnw
