At some time in the next few months, gritters will be out in force ensuring we can travel on Bolton's roads safely.So when we found this photograph in our archives we thought you would like to see gritters from January 1985.It shows the ice men from the Mayor Street depot and one of their 14 radio-controlled gritters who were winning the fight to keep the borough's main roads as clear as possible
