This photo from 1973 shows a little bit of Cornwall - in East Lancashire. Three streets of Roassendale Road in Burnley - Hapton Street, Valley Street and Griffin Street - were together known as Little Cornwall. The area took its name from the CXornish miners who were brought to the area in a bid to break the strike by miners at the Cliviger pit. They stayed and worked 579001499-let LTE_03/02/20
