The market stalls were all ready, all it needed was for the traders to move in. This photo was taken in November 1969 just days before the official opening of Burnley's new market - part of a £5 million redevelopment of the town centre. These stalls were part of the open market which actually had a flat roof over much of th space to protect shoppers from the elements. Frank Bailey, chairman
