As it is Halloween we felt it appropriate to run this photo of an East Lancashire pub that was reputedly haunted. This photo shows the Ribblesdale Arms at Gisburn pictured in 1987.The pub was supposedly haunted by the ghost of a servant girl, Mary, who was raped by the lord of the manor Lord Ribblesdale after whom the pub was named and flung down the stairs.
