Just look at the crowds of folk doing their Christmas shopping on Deansgate. We don't have an adte for this popicture but it's lilel to be from the 1950s and BOlton twon centre was heaviing. Police were on duty to supervise those crossing the road and the pavements were thick with people. This photo also gives us a good look at Woolworth's with Littlewoods on the opposite corner 565559792-ben
