Post war Bolton and a view along Higher Bridge Street from 1946 looking towards the town centre. A lot has changed in the intervening years - the cobbles and tram tracks have long gone. On the right was the Higher Bridge Street Methodist Church which was demolished in 1954. And on the left, you can just make out the white frontage of the Palladium Cinema which would later become the Wryton Stadiu
