Farnwprth was expanding when this aerial photograph was taken in October 1954. It shows some of the new housing going up around Plodder L:ane. The road to the left is a continuation of Highfield Road and other roads you can see are Tig Fold Road and Avondale Road. In the middle of the photo looks to be an old mill lodge.
