We're not sure if it was a special occasion or just a typical Sunday afternoon in wartime BOlton but what a great photo. Taken in 1943 it shows scores of people gathered for dancing in the park. It appears as though a band may have been playing out of shot on the right with part of the crowd looking in that direction.
