Home time for pupils at Red Lane Primary School in Breightmet almost 65 years ago. Thie photo was taken in November 1960 and shows youngsters making their way home after a day in the classroom. It may have been winter but the boys still had to wear short pants. Apart from the street light , the view from outside the school would be pretty similar today although there's likely to be far more cars
