This is possibly the last photograph of this row of small terracedhouseson Devonport Street in Halliwell. In October 1977 councillors confirmed that the 10 properties and a shop were within the proposed Clarence Street Clearance Area and would be demolished to make way for the proposed inner relief road.The housing Committee was told the road had already caused the area to 'detereriorate rapidly'
