A 220,000 extension to Bolton Institute of Technology was behind schedule and over budget in 1973. The new building facing Deane Road should have been open in time for the new academic year in Setpember but a month later, when this photo was taken, a lot of work was still to be done and an extra 60,000 was needed to complete it.
