Description
The South African War Memorial and garden in Galgate, Barnard Castle, on a 1925 postcard. The memorial is a red granite boulder on a plinth, and it is dedicated to members of the 3rd Battalion of the Durham Light Infantry recruited in the dale who fought in the war.
