THE FIRST time a team from Lanarkshire district had won the YFC stockjudging at the Royal Highland which was in Edinburgh, in 1955, when these three young boys from Carluke YFC won the team trophy. They were Archie Bell, Scott Young and Robert Struthers, who were all 19 at the time. Caithness were second and East Perthshire were third at that show
