Description
Argus Looking Back Series LB-4520 This 1940 picture shows a gas powered lorry probably coal gas . The gas was not compressed and was stored in a huge 15 cubic meter bag on the roof. That would get you about 40 miles. At the start of the journey it was fully inflated and it gradually deflated mile by mile. Petrol was in extremely short supply and this was more easily obtainable.
