Emily McMullen, 22 months, from Bailieston was born profoundly deaf but thanks to a cochlear implant she was able to hear for the first time. Her dad Paul McMullen is taking part in the Great North Run to raise cash for a charity which helps deaf children. She is pictured feeding the families chickens which she loves doing.
