Rebecca Lawrence, aged three, admires the snowdrops - the season s highlights -in Edinburgh s Royal Botanic Gardens which is part of the Scottish Snowdrop Festival 2012. The delicate flower which is called galanthus in latin is part of the amaryllis family which brighten up the end of winter and herald the forthcoming Spring.
