1965 showing Forsselius garage in Blossom Street and its controversial petrol pumps, the first in York. The company s planning application for the pumps was rejected in 1920. But the next year with the backing of the powerful Anglo American Oil Company consent was granted and the devices were installed in September 1921. YEP PIC
