Here's a fascinating old photo taken looking along Whalley New Road at Wilpshire. Sadly we don't have a date but it is possibly from the 1920s if not earlier. Tramlines cover the cobbled main road - there was a busy tram terminus at what is now Brownhill roundabout further along the road. On the right is the Rising Sun pub which is still open today.
