Here we look back to a time of glorious sunshine bringing out the crowds for Bolton's Rose Queen parade in July, 1990.There were 18 beautifully-dressed queens and their retinues from Bolton and surrounding districts who walked around the town centre finishing at the Bolton Town Hall where sea cadets formed a special guard of honour.A record of more than £1,000 was collected for charity.
