4 6 1958 Naburn Mill, which is to be demolished has been a landmark beside the lock for many years. Worked by water turbine, it was occupied by a firm of Tadcaster corn millers until abut two years ago. Before the war it was tenanted by Hunt Brothers and Rober Rook the York miller. It was standing when the new lock was built at Naburn in 1886, and there is a record showing that the turbine is 70
