Part of the railway history and architecture of Sudbury was removed when the cast iron footbridge, which was built at the start of the twentieth century, was dismantled at moved to the Stour Valley Railway Preservation Society. The Society spent around 2500 to buy the bridge and put it up a few miles down the Sudbury to Marks Tey line at it's Chappel S
