This photo from the early 1960s gives us a great view of one of Blackburn's long lost 'treasures' - the Thwaites Arcade.. It it pictured on the right of the photo which shows the top of Church Street with Darwen Street running across from left to right. The Thwaites ARcade opened in 1884 and connected Church Street to Lord Street. It was demolished in 1971 506165643-newport LTE_20/05/2024_25_L
