Was this the hotel which gave Hotel Street its name? This photo was taken in May 1962 looking towards Mealhouse Lane and the Bolton Evening News offices. The Victoria Hotel on the left, a Dutton's pub, had closed the year before. It would be demolished along with the two building further along and the site would eventually be taken over by Marks and Spencer 547509048-ben BNE_10/10/2024_25_Lead
