Description
The beam of Lowestoft "Highlight" flases out across the night sky at the start of 1964. There has been a light on or near this spot at the end of Lowestoft High Street since 1609 and the present lighthouse was erected in 1874. The light is visible for 17 miles and gives warning of the presence of the Corton, Holm and Newcome sands, dated 2nd January 1964. Photo: Archant Library IC204_Lowestoft l
