Description
Remembrance at Erskine Veterans House, Edinburgh. Veteran Thomas Lay, 92 from Queens Own Cameron Highlanders. He was in France during blackout when war was declared in 1939. His father also fought in the First World War and took a gas attack all to himself to save seven men. He returned from the war but died before Lay was born.
