Archaelogists have discovered a 1000 year old Viking boat burial on the Ardnamurchan penisula which is believed to be the first ever such find on the UK mainland. The Team of archaeologists known at the Ardnamurchan Transitions Project ATP which look at how cultures change is led by a team of experts from the University of Manchester, Leicester CFA Archaeology Ltd and Archaeology Scotland.
