Occupations - Traditional Crafts Woodland craftsman Andrew Basham works to complete the next batch of traditional " besoms", or birch brooms, prior to the seasonal halloween push. The besoms are hand made using birch from Buxton Heath nature reserve, lime bark binding and chestnut or hazel handles. Mr Basham expected to sell over 300 in a season.
